A server is the least visible thing a business depends on, right up until it stops. The work worth paying for is the part nobody sees: sizing it correctly, watching it, and replacing it before it becomes the reason nobody can work on a Tuesday.
IT LogicPro has specified, installed and managed servers for Cypriot and international businesses since 2013, from offices in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca. Single servers in a cabinet through to organisations running their own datacenters.
What we do
Specifying the right server
Sized on what you actually run and how you expect to grow, not on the configuration a reseller happens to have in stock. Over-buying is as common as under-buying and costs more.
Windows Server and Active Directory
Domain services, file and print, permissions and group policy. The plumbing that decides who can open what, and the thing most likely to have been set up once and never revisited.
Monitoring and maintenance
Disk space, failing drives, firmware, patches and backup jobs that stopped succeeding three weeks ago. Almost every server failure announces itself in advance to somebody who is watching.
Replacing an ageing server
Migrations off hardware or an operating system going out of support, planned so the cutover is a scheduled evening rather than an emergency after something dies.
On-premise, cloud, or a mix
Not everything belongs in a datacenter and not everything belongs in Azure. We will tell you which of your workloads is which, and what each option costs over three years.
Power, cooling and the room
A server in a cupboard with no ventilation fails early and unpredictably. Cabinets, power protection and airflow are unglamorous and they decide how long your hardware lasts.
How a server project runs
- We look at what you run.Applications, users, data volumes, and how much of it has to keep working if a machine stops.
- We propose a configuration.Hardware, virtualisation and where each workload should sit, with the reasoning written down so you can question it.
- We install and migrate.Built, configured and moved over, with a fallback position, at a time that suits the business rather than us.
- We manage it.Monitoring, patching, firmware and backup checks, so problems surface as alerts rather than as a phone call from a user.
- We plan the replacement early.Hardware has a predictable life. Knowing the year in advance turns a large unplanned cost into a budgeted one.
Why work with IT LogicPro
Certified on what we build on
VMware, Microsoft and HP certifications in-house, alongside CompTIA, Cisco, Juniper and 3CX. Virtualisation and Windows Server are everyday work here, not occasional projects.
We supply and support
HP, Dell and Lenovo hardware supplied, installed and then actually looked after. The people who specified it are the people who get the call when it misbehaves.
Three offices in Cyprus
Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca. When a server needs hands on it, that is a drive rather than a shipping decision.
We will say when you do not need one
Some businesses genuinely no longer need a server on site. If yours is one of them, we will say so, even though it is the smaller sale.
Common questions
Do we still need a server, or should everything move to the cloud?
It depends on what you run. Line-of-business applications, large file sets and anything sensitive to latency often stay cheaper and faster on site. Mail and collaboration usually belong in the cloud. Most businesses end up with both.
How long does a server last?
Manufacturers support them for a defined period and performance rarely falls off a cliff, but risk climbs once hardware is out of warranty and an operating system is out of support. Planning the replacement beats discovering it.
Can you take over servers somebody else installed?
Yes. We would document what is there first, because inheriting a system nobody has written down is how small problems become long outages.
Do you handle virtualisation?
Yes. Consolidating several physical machines onto fewer hosts usually reduces cost, power and the number of things that can fail.
What about backups and disaster recovery?
Covered as part of the service. There is more detail on our disaster recovery page, and we test restores rather than assuming backups work.
Proper racking, power protection and airflow. A server in an unventilated cupboard fails early and at the least convenient moment.
